The latest special edition to join the Patravi ScubaTec family is an ode to a very special ocean dweller: the black manta ray. These gentle giants are a vision of grace as they effortlessly glide through the coastal waters they call home.

The new Patravi ScubaTec Black Manta Special Edition is a COSC-certified chronometer that is in no way inferior to the sea creature that in- spired it. Equipped with an ultra-light titanium case, helium release valve, and water resistance of up to 50 bar (500 m), this timepiece is ready for your adventures in the deep. In addition to its stylish good looks, the deep black timepiece is also for a good cause: consistent with the values of Carl F. Bucherer, part of the proceeds will be donated to the Manta Trust charity.

In this spirit of sustainable values, Carl F. Bucherer has joined forces with Manta Trust, a UK-based charity with the mission of conserving the oceans and the habitat of the rare manta rays. Manta Trust is active in over 20 countries, tirelessly leading research projects and awareness campaigns on behalf of this endangered species. The Patravi ScubaTec Black Manta Special Edition is Carl F. Bucherer’s second special-edition timepiece dedicated to this cause. Deeply Fascinating

As you might expect from the name, the Patravi ScubaTec Black Manta Special Edition is a diver’s watch par excellence. The lightweight titanium case – new in the Carl F. Bucherer collection – boasts a black DLC coating and an eye-catching diameter of 44.6 mm. The deep black hue forms a contrast with the bronze-colored elements recalling old diving tools. Super-LumiNova adorns the indices and hands, which frame the silhouettes of two manta rays in the center of the black dial. The dive time can be easily set with the unidirectional rotating bezel in titanium and ceramic – one of the watch’s safety features, alongside the automatic helium release valve.

No matter how its functionalities are used, the Patravi ScubaTec Black Manta Special Edition remains a symbol of conservation and values that endure over generations. Developed especially for Carl F. Bucherer, its innovative textile strap is mostly composed of recycled PET bottles and features bronze-colored contrast stitching. The DLC-coated case back shows a detailed engraving of the creature that inspired the timepiece: the black manta ray.

The titanium case houses the CFB 1950.1 caliber automatic movement with a power reserve of 38 hours. Its extraordinary precision has been officially confirmed by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC) independent Swiss chronometer testing institute. Each watch is accompanied by an individual COSC certificate. With a water resistance of 50 bar (500 m), the Patravi ScubaTec Black Manta Special Edition is as precise under water as it is on land.
